About the Provider

Without a clear career path yet academic success in her undergraduate biology program and encouragement from family, Dr. Stewart took the medical school entrance exams. She fell in love with obstetrics and gynecology in her third year and knew she had found her calling. Today, she uses her natural curiosity about people and their lives to develop long-term relationships with her patients. She enjoys getting to know them as individuals and seeing them through the different phases of their lives, from young adults who are just starting out, through first pregnancies, growing families, raising teenagers and beginning the transition to menopause. With three young adult children herself, she understands the joys and challenges of raising a family and is passionate about helping her patients make time for self-care, particularly nutrition and exercise. In addition to wellness, Dr. Stewart enjoys helping women with family planning and contraception, menstrual disorders and investigating and taking initial steps to addressing infertility. 

When Dr. Stewart is away from work she enjoys spending time with her husband and her three children, two of whom are in college. She enjoys creative outlets, including cooking, playing classical piano and quilting. She is an avid runner, cyclist and swimmer and has competed in marathons and triathlons. She also reads and is interested in travel and painting.
