Careers at WHA
Work in a place where your role has a clear impact.
At Women’s Healthcare Associates, we’re an independent, clinician-owned and led practice where care is shaped by the people doing the work.
That creates an environment where your voice matters, your work stays connected to the people it impacts and you have the opportunity to grow over time. It also supports a more sustainable way of working—where belonging and wellbeing are part of how we approach care.

As a clinician-owned practice, decisions aren’t made far from where care happens. They’re made by people who understand the realities of the work and the needs of the communities we serve.
That creates a more connected environment—where ideas move more easily, collaboration happens across roles and teams, and people have a meaningful voice in how things evolve over time.
From the front desk and scheduling to medical assistants, imaging, lab, clinicians and support teams, every part of our organization contributes to the experience our patients have.
We work across 12 locations in the Portland region—including Portland, Oregon City, Tualatin, Newberg and Hillsboro—with shared standards and strong local cultures. Wherever you work, you’re part of something coordinated, thoughtful and bigger than any one role.
We listen. We share information. We step in to support when things get busy or complex. And we recognize that good work depends on strong relationships—across teams and across disciplines.
There’s an expectation of professionalism, but also of respect, curiosity and accountability. It’s what allows people to do their jobs well and feel supported in the process.
That includes structured onboarding, mentorship, continuing education and opportunities to take on new challenges. Many people build long-term careers here, moving across roles or deepening their expertise within their teams.
We also recognize that sustainability matters. Our benefits, scheduling options and wellness resources are designed to support balance and wellbeing across different stages of life and work.
Through our DEIB Committee, employee resource groups and community partnerships, we’re continuing to learn, listen and make changes that strengthen how we support one another and our patients.
We’ve made progress, and we know there’s more to do. Staying engaged in that work—and being willing to reflect and adjust—is part of the commitment.
Our work extends beyond our clinics through local partnerships and programs, including initiatives that support access to care and community wellbeing. Many of our team members live in the same communities where they work, creating a strong sense of connection and purpose.
And outside of work, the Pacific Northwest offers space to recharge—whether that’s time on the coast, in the mountains or here in the city.
