Patients with Regence health plans can receive in-network care at 12 WHA clinics and the six hospitals where we provide care.

As of April 1, 2026, Regence and Legacy Health did not reach agreement on a new contract. As a result, some Legacy clinics and providers in the Portland metro area are now out of network for Regence members. Through a special contract provision, hospital care at Legacy facilities remains in network through March 31, 2027. Learn more >

Women’s Healthcare Associates, LLC (WHA) is separate from Legacy Health and maintains its own contract with Regence. There is no change to coverage for care received at WHA clinics and with WHA providers as a result of the Regence-Legacy contracting update.

What this means for patients

  • Hospital-based care at Legacy facilities is in-network for Regence plan members through March 31, 2027, though patients should confirm details with their health plan.
  • Patients who also receive care from Legacy clinics or providers may see changes to their coverage depending on the specific provider or location. This means out-of-network costs may apply in some situations.

We’re here to help

WHA teams are available to support patients who have questions about their care or who may need to transfer to WHA from a Legacy clinic or provider.

Because insurance coverage can vary, patients are encouraged to contact Regence directly using the number on the back of their insurance card to confirm their specific benefits.

Our goal is to ensure patients have access to high-quality, coordinated care without interruption.

If you have questions or need assistance, please contact one of our offices.
